INSTRUCTIONS

AIRTRAILER DUO

  1. CONNECT THE AIRTRAILER TO YOUR CAR WHEN LOWERING OR RAISING IT.
  2. POINTS TO LOOK OUT FOR WHEN LOWERING THE AIRTRAILER:
    A. UNLOCK (2X) THE TAILGATE AND LOWER IT.
    B. MAKE SURE THAT THE SAFETY PINS ON THE RIGHT AND LEFT ARE PULLED OUT. TURN THE PIN SLIGHTLY TO LOCK IT AND PREVENT IT FROM FALLING BACK INTO THE "TRIANGLE".
    C. PLACE THE CASTER WHEEL (LEFT) UPWARDS SO THAT THE AIRTRAILER DOES NOT REST ON IT.
    D. PRESS THE VALVE ABOVE THE AIR PRESSURE SYSTEM TO DEPRESSURISE IT.
  3. DRIVE YOUR MOTORCYCLES OR MOBILITY SCOOTERS ONTO THE AIRTRAILER UP TO THE WHEEL LOCK OR THE WHEEL BRACKET. IF YOU USE A WHEEL BRACKET, YOU MUST PLACE YOUR MOTORCYCLES ON THEIR SIDE STAND BEFORE FASTENING THE STRAPS.
  4. FASTEN THE STRAPS: 4 FOR A MOTORCYCLE AND 2 FOR A MOBILITY SCOOTER.
  5. FOR A MOBILITY SCOOTER, RELOCK THE TAILGATE.
  6. PUMP UP THE AIR TRAILER WITH A 12V COMPRESSOR OR A BICYCLE PUMP, WHICH YOU CONNECT TO THE VALVE OF THE AIR PRESSURE SYSTEM.
  7. PUMP UP THE AIRTRAILER TO ABOUT 2 CM (THUMB-THICKNESS) UNDER THE STOP. CHECK THIS FROM TIME TO TIME DURING YOUR JOURNEY (THERE MAY BE A DEGREE OF VARIATION).
  8. PLEASE NOTE: ALLOW THE SAFETY PIN TO FALL BACK INTO THE 'TRIANGLE' WHEN THE AIRTRAILER HAS BEEN RAISED BACK UP SO THAT THE AIRTRAILER CAN NEVER UNEXPECTEDLY LOWER.
  9. MAKE SURE THAT THE WEIGHT IS EVENLY DISTRIBUTED. THIS IS ACHIEVED BY PLACING THE BACK WHEEL APPROXIMATELY 20 CM OVER THE TAILGATE. THE STANDARD STEADY-STAND POSITION FITS A WHEEL BASE OF 1.55 - 1.65 METRES.
  10. RECOMMENDED TYRE PRESSURE: LOAD 400 KG = 2.5 BAR, LOAD 580 KG = 3.5 BAR, LOAD 800 KG = 4.5 BAR, LOAD 900 KG (=MAX. LOAD) = 5 BAR. THE DUO TRAILER BRAKED IS SUPPLIED WITH 4.0 BAR, UNBRAKED WITH 2.5 BAR.

HAVE A GOOD JOURNEY, AND MANY SAFE KILOMETRES!
